How we handle your data

How your data is handled and protected on this site.

Data controller

The controller for the data collected on this site is a private individual who runs it on a non-commercial basis. For any question about your data, a contact form is available on the site.

Lawful basis

Your data is used only to run the site, keep it secure and reply to you. The lawful basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR), with consent where required (Article 6(1)(a)). We never sell or rent your data.

Who has access

Your data is not sold and is not shared without a lawful basis. Our host, 20i Limited, is a processor under Article 28 of the UK GDPR, and does not use your data for its own purposes.

Data we collect

Only the data needed to handle your request is collected, and no sensitive data is requested.

  • Identity: the name you provide.
  • Contact: your email and, if you wish, a phone number.
  • Your message: what you tell us about casual encounters.
  • Connection data: IP address and a timestamp.

Use of cookies

Only cookies needed to run the site are used. Under PECR, advertising or analytics cookies are set only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Your browser settings also let you refuse cookies.

Data security

Your data is sent over a secure, encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access is limited to those who need it, and suitable measures protect against loss, alteration or unauthorised access.

How long data is kept

Your data is kept only as long as needed for the purpose, then deleted, unless the law requires it to be kept longer. Access logs are kept only for a short time.

Updates

We update this policy if the law or the service changes. The version published here is the one that applies.

Your data protection rights

The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 let you obtain a copy of your data, correct or delete it, restrict or object to processing, ask for portability, and withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights through the site's contact form. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the supervisory authority for the United Kingdom, at ico.org.uk.
